When you create a Noesis account, we collect the following information through Clerk, our authentication provider:
- Name — your display name as provided during sign-up or synced from your OAuth provider.
- Email address — used for account communication, billing receipts, and security alerts.
- Profile picture — synced from your account with your authentication provider, or set during sign-up.

Everything you create inside Noesis — your conversations, branching structures, chat sessions, Spaces, and concept maps — is stored as usage data associated with your account. Specifically:
- Conversations and messages are stored so you can return to them, branch from them, and view them on your concept map at any time.
- Branching structures capture the full tree of your exploration paths, including alternate branches you created by forking at any message.
- Spaces and projects organize your work across sessions and are preserved until you choose to delete them.

Noesis integrates with a carefully selected set of third-party services, each serving a specific role:

You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.To delete your account from within Noesis:
- Click your avatar (top-right) and select Settings.
- Navigate to Data & Privacy.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section and click Delete My Account.
- Confirm by entering your account email address, then click Permanently Delete Account.
How Your Data Is Used
Noesis uses the data we collect for the following purposes:- To provide the service — your account data, conversations, and workspace content are the foundation of everything Noesis does.
- To process AI responses — your messages are sent to AI model providers in real time to generate the responses you see.
- To improve Noesis — anonymized, aggregated usage patterns help us identify bugs, prioritize features, and improve performance.
- To communicate with you — we use your email address to send billing receipts, security alerts, and (if you opt in) product announcements.
- To detect and prevent issues — technical data like IP address and browser type helps us identify abuse, investigate errors, and maintain service security.
Data Storage and Security
Your workspace data is stored with Convex, a modern backend platform that provides:- Encryption at rest — all stored data is encrypted using industry-standard algorithms.
- Encryption in transit — all data transferred between your browser and Noesis servers uses TLS (HTTPS).
- Real-time sync — Convex enables live collaboration features while maintaining data integrity across devices and sessions.
Cookies
Noesis uses only essential cookies — the minimum required for authentication and session management. We do not use:- Advertising cookies
- Cross-site tracking cookies
- Third-party profiling cookies

Download a full export of your conversations, branches, and spaces from Settings → Data & Privacy → Export My Data.
Delete Your Account
Permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Data & Privacy, or by emailing support.
Opt Out of Analytics
Contact support@thinknoesis.xyz to opt out of non-essential data collection. Note that essential session data cannot be disabled.
